Tornado with NIRTECH® Heat-Shielding Lenses

Our Tornado style features a large TR90 frame and NIRTECH® Heat-Shielding PC polarized lenses that protect your eyes from UV and Infrared radiation while reducing glare and enhancing visual comfort and clarity. PC polarized lenses with hydrophobic and anti-reflective coatings. The frames are fitted with decorative metal accents, vented rubber nose pads, and slip resistant rubber temple grips providing added comfort and long lasting performance. The lenses provide 100% protection from harmful UV rays and reduce glare, enhancing visual comfort and clarity.

TR90 is a type of thermoplastic material that is incredibly durable, flexible, and hypoallergenic. It is renowned for its lightweight nature which reduces pressure on the nose and ears allowing for a comfortable all-day fit.

PC polarized lenses are made from a type of thermoplastic that is both strong and lightweight. They are significantly more impact-resistant, thinner, and lighter than traditional glass or plastic lenses.

Hydrophobic coating is applied to the outside of the lenses to combat visual distortion caused by rain, water spray and sweat, allowing droplets to simply bead off the lenses. The coating is called a nanoscopic surface layer which also helps repel grease, oil, dust and stains such as fingerprints. Another key benefit is that the lenses become very easy to clean.

Anti-reflective coating is also known as AR coating, and it is applied on the backside of sunglass lenses. The interest is to minimize glare and reflections bouncing off the reverse side of the lenses back into your eyes and disrupting the sharpness, contrast and precision of your vision. Because it helps prevent visual fatigue, AR coating is highly recommended for driving.
